Islamabad: Federal government has appointed senior police officer Mushtaq Maher as new IG Sindh. Regular notification has been issued in this regard.
Similarly, Dr. Kalim Imam, Sindh’s IG, was posted as IG National Highway and Motorway Police. Kaleem Imam is a Police Service Grade 21 officer. Kaleem Imam was removed from the post of IG Sindh today.
Assistant special Firdous Ashiq Awan tweeted, saying that Mushtaq Maher has been posted as IG Sindh.
She said that the federal cabinet has approved the appointment of IG Sindh Mushtaq Maher. Mushtaq Maher has been posted as IG Sindh on the demand of Sindh government
Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the appointment of new IG was done on the demand of the Sindh government and the advice of the governor. We hope that the new IG will ensure the establishment of law and order in Sindh, overcoming political affiliations.
