Punjab Govt refused to give money to Meera

The Punjab government has refused to offer financial aid (assistance) to veteran film actress Meera. They said that it is not possible to give the monetary help to the actress which is worth rupees 4 crores , usually given to a needy actor .

It is reported that she asked for monetary help of around PKR 40 million (4 crores) from the ministry, she reported that it is hard for her to earn money due to covid outbreak and she has six to seven people at home to look after. Punjab government has refused to give the monetary fund but said that they can only give her PKR 5,000 to 10,000 as the ‘help’ grant.
