A report suggests that tech giant Apple is all set to launch its new original TV series next year in March for which twelve different projects are in the pipeline so far and Apple has signed big names.
A report published by The New York Times indicates that Apple’s programming is planned to roll out next year in March or summer. The company is expected to open divisions for children shows and adult dramas.
In terms of what kind of content will be offered, the company is expected to avoid content that are heavy on social problems and lean towards lighthearted content, as per the speculations circulating in the tech industry.

According to a report published by Wall Street Journal last year, Apple would invest $1 billion in producing TV shows over the upcoming year. However, the latest report by the NYT suggests that the company is willing to spend more than the aforementioned amount on programming, exceeding social media giants Facebook and YouTube’s budget.
Apple launched few shows in the previous years that were distributed on Apple Music. For the upcoming programming, it is still unclear whether the company will release content through a new channel, Apple TV or iTunes.
