F.P. Report
KARACHI: Farooq Sattar, former chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) announced to challenge the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision in court for disqualifying him as party’s convenership.
Farooq Sattar said this while addressing to the party workers in Karachi. Senior politician of MQM claimed that workers had rejected the verdict of ECP and he would move court against it.
Sattar said that ECP’s judgment in the case was premeditated and adding that a blind eye was turned towards evidence which is clearly injustice and we will not keep silence over it.
He claimed that the decision was meant to weaken MQM-P and given chance to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Peoples Party to enter in Karachi’s politics.
Sattar invited MQM-Bahadurabad faction to hold intra-party elections. He also opined to hold election for party chief after intra-party elections.
