Madhuri Dixit to be seen in period drama ‘Kalank’

MUMBAI: Abhishek Varman is helming Karan Johar’s magnum opus Kalank. Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit- Nene, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha will be playing pivotal parts in the film. Kalank is a period drama based in the 1940s.

 

Opulent sets have been made in Mumbai for the shooting of the film. Varun and Alia kick-started the shooting of the film about three weeks back. Madhuri joined them soon after. The looks of the characters in the film have been kept under wraps for obvious reasons.

 

However, Madhuri’s picture from the sets of the film floated online. The actress looks stunning in heavy jewellery and ethnic attire. Apparently, the actress will be playing the role of Alia’s dance teacher in the film though nothing has been officially confirmed.
