3 in 4 Pakistanis (76%) surveyed by Gallup Pakistan say that it is important (very or somewhat) that people should have the freedom to protest peacefully.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 3 in 4 Pakistanis (76%) surveyed by Gallup Pakistan say that it is important (very or somewhat) that people should be free to protest peacefully.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “How important do you think it is to freely allow people to protest peacefully in Pakistan?” To answer this question 50% said it is very important, 26% said allowing people to protest peacefully is somewhat important, 13% of the respondents said it is not very important while 7% said that it was not important at all. 4% did not know or did not wish to respond.
