Quranic Recitation: Nearly 1 in 2 (47%) Pakistanis report that there is an adult in their house who cannot read the Quran.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, nearly 1 in 2 (47%) Pakistanis report that there is an adult in their house who does not know how to read the Quran.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Is there any adult in your house who cannot read the Quran?” In response to this question, 47% said yes, 42% said no, while 11% did not know or did not wish to respond.
