District Police Officer (DPO) Asad Sarfraz has devised a security plan for Eid-ul-Fitr as more than 720 policemen and 235 Qaumi Razaqar would be deployed for the security duty. He said on Monday that foolproof security arrangements would be ensured in the district to avoid any untoward incident. He said that special arrangements would be made to check wheelie-doers and extra force would be deputed at parks and other public places to maintain law and order situation. The DPO directed senior police officials to launch a crackdown on liquor dealers and also continue search operations. As many as 3000 policemen would be deployed for security of people during Eid days in Peshawar. As per security plan chalked out for Eid by KP Polic, these policemen would be deployed in different areas of Peshawar including Eidgahs, recreational and public places for security of people during Eid holidays, officials in Police Department told APP on Monday. The police mobile teams besides regular police will patrol inside and around the city to meet any eventuality and will assist regular police in maintain law and order.—APP
