PESHAWAR: The first ever educational complex started its function in Paindha Chena area of Tirah Valley Khyber tribal district with the collaboration of Pak Army.Tirah Education Complex Paindha Chena (TECPC) land was endowed by the elders of the area and now about 1,071 students are enrolled in it who get their education.
A school principal, Mian Imran Shah told to The Frontier Post that the concept of education was tantamount to zero in the area and most of them were illiterate who were unaware of the importance of education.
He commented that people of Tirah Valley had been greatly suffered owing to precarious situation in the area.
He added that TECPC is the only education complex in the area for 23,000 populations and almost 1,071 students including female are getting education. We have a total of 17 teaching staff including four female and the numbers of teachers will be increased with the passage of time, he added.
He further said that all types of facility have been provided to the students including science laboratory, computer lab and play grounds. Zila Jan, elder of the area said that they are very happy and proud to have the facility of school like this and now our children can avail the opportunity by getting education in it to play their pivotal role in future for development of the country.
A fifth grade student, Ali Muhammad said that he is very glad on the establishment of school where he can get education and fulfill his dream to become a pilot.
Elders of the area said that peace has been completely restored in the area because of the matchless sacrifices given by the local peoples and security forces. They also demanded of the provincial government to ensure health facilities in the area along with building other education institutions.
