IHC dismisses Sugar mills’ appeal against sugar inquiry report

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday lifted the stay on the sugar inquiry report and allowed the government to take action against the sugar mills.

According to details, the Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court rejected the petition of the sugar mill owners and also lifted the restraining order.

The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court issued a four-page judgment. A detailed judgment on the case will be issued later.

Earlier, during the hearing on the request of mill owners in the sugar Inquiry case, Attorney General of Pakistan Khalid Javed Khan had referred to the Panama case and the fake account case during his arguments and said that the court had granted GI in the Panama case and fake bank accounts case. JIT was formed in which officers of various institutions were involved.

He said that the reason why the government had included officers of various agencies in the Sugar Inquiry Commission was that it would be wrong to say that the Commission of Inquiry was set up to take revenge on political opponents.

Giving arguments, Khalid Javed Khan said that the inquiry is being held against the government’s strong allies and friends, it takes great courage and determination to take action against its friends and allies, action against friends and allies is proof that it No biased action.
