Talib Johri’s Funeral attended by a large audience in Karachi

Funeral prayers of renowned Shia cleric Allama Talib Johri was offered at Amroha Ground.

According to details, Allama Talib Johri, a well-known Shia cleric who had been reciting the Majlis of ”Shaam e Ghareeban” for a long time on Pakistani television, had passed away on Sunday night and his funeral prayer was offered.

Talib Johri’s funeral prayers were offered at Amroha Ground after Zuhreen prayers at Ancholi. He was buried at Wadi Hussain Cemetery on Super Highway.

Allama had been suffering from heart and hypoglycemia for some time and was recently admitted to a hospital in Karachi, where he died at the age of 81 while undergoing treatment.

He was born on August 27, 1939, in Patna, India. Due to his distinctive style, accent, and rhetoric, he had a special place and respect. His father was the famous religious scholar Allama Mustafa Khan.

He was a central figure among Pakistani scholars for many years. His fame spread all over the world in Pakistan and outside Pakistan with the Majlis of Sham Ghariban in Nishtar Park, Karachi. The audience of this Majlis included all sections of Muslim thought. Allama Talib Johari has also been awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan in recognition of his religious services.
