Huge crack opens up as enormous iceberg the size of Bedfordshire breaks off Antarctic ice shelf 

A large iceberg measuring 1,270 square kilometres has broken off from the Brunt Ice Shelf in the Antarctic in a process called 'calving', the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) said.
