Pakistan, India declared joint winners of Asian Hockey Champions Trophy

KARACHI: Pakistan and India teams have been declared joint winners of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2018 after the final was abandoned due to heavy rain in Muscat on Sunday.

India would keep the trophy first, for the initial half period after winning the toss, while after that it would hand over to Pakistan.

Pakistan team has reached at Karachi airport today (Monday) where relatives and fans gave a warm welcome to them.

While talking to media at Karachi airport head coach Hassan Sardar said that this victory will keep the team’s moral high.

He said that if sufficient funds are not provided, it would be hard to arrange national training camp in Lahore to prepare players for the World Cup.

He also informed that next World Cup will be played in India.
