CM chairs ADP 2019-20 review meeting on merged areas

A meeting to review Annual Development Program (ADP) 2019-20 held here for the second consecutive day with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mehmood Khan in the chair on Monday. The Chief Minister directed for including Thall-Mir Ali road of Waziristan in ADP. The projects of Green Waziristan and Green Bajaur under Billion Tree Tsunami project were also directed for inclusion in ADP. The CM further directed for inclusion of construction of medical college in Kurram district in ADP besides initiating tree plantation drive on the banks of canals in both rural and civic areas.
The Chief Minister also directed for plantation of cypress trees at hill stations of the province to make these areas more attractive and tourism friendly. It was decided at the meeting that Type-B hospitals in tribal district including Bajaur, Wana and Kurram will be upgraded to Type-A category hospitals in ADP. Provision of free of cost medicines and emergency services at DHQ hospitals and BHUs of the province was also included in ADP 2019-20. Construction of MPA hostel at Peshawar for representatives, elected from newly merged districts of tribal areas was also included in ADP. Likewise, projects of construction of water reservoirs and surface irrigation schemes were also included in ADP. The conversion of electric tube-wells to solar energy system in tribal areas was included in ADP 2019-20.
