According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 84% Pakistanis claim that they attend at least one wedding function in a year.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Can you state how many wedding functions you attend in one year?” In response, 12% said they do not attend any wedding functions in a year, 14% said they attend one wedding function a year, 26% said they attend two functions, 13% claimed to attend three wedding functions in a year, 7% said four, 9% claimed to attend five, 4% said six and 11% claimed they attend more than six wedding functions in one year. Only 4% said they did not know/did not wish to respond.
