Federal govt seeks proposal to resume educational activities. Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that they are considering opening schools under SOPs.
According to details, a meeting was held in the federal capital Islamabad under the chairmanship of Education and Vocational Training Minister Shafqat Mahmood on opening schools under SOPs.
Addressing the meeting, the Federal Minister for Education said that they are considering opening schools under SOPs. He said that the Ministry of Education is in touch with UNICEF on opening schools.
Shafqat Mehmood said that the opening of schools under SOPs will also be seen at the global level. He said that UNICEF is also being consulted on our strategy.
The meeting chaired by the Federal Minister also mentioned the Gallup survey on school reopening. Shafqat Mahmood said that 70 percent of the parents in the survey spoke about reopening the school. Parents will be taken into confidence.
It may be recalled that last week, the Islamabad High Court had rejected a request to open educational institutions across the country.
